# Create store

> Create a merchant location for menus, fulfillment, and orders.

Creates a store for the merchant on the access token. Use this to onboard locations from a POS, RMS, or internal ops tool.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Requires an access token with the `stores:write` scope. See
> [Token](https://firespark.cloud/docs/admin-api/oauth/token/post.md) to obtain a token.

`merchant_id` and `env` come from the token. Coverage zones are a separate resource — this endpoint returns `coverage_zones: []`.

`channel_ids` and `fulfillment_ids` list the channels and fulfillments the store offers. When omitted, every channel and fulfillment the merchant has at that moment is enabled. Send `[]` to create the store with none enabled.

## Request

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST "https://firespark.cloud/api/admin/v1/stores" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ACCESS_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "id": "pos-location-01",
    "name": "Main Street",
    "brand_id": null,
    "contact": {
      "email": "main@merchant.com",
      "phone": "+593991234567",
      "name": "Main Street"
    },
    "location": {
      "latitude": -2.1894,
      "longitude": -79.8891,
      "address_line_1": "Calle Principal 456",
      "city": "Guayaquil",
      "country": "Ecuador",
      "postal_code": "090101",
      "business_name": "Main Street Restaurant"
    },
    "timezone": "America/Guayaquil",
    "availability": {
      "schedules": null,
      "temporary_closed_reason": null,
      "temporary_closed_until": null,
      "status": "OPEN"
    },
    "channel_ids": ["web", "app"],
    "fulfillment_ids": ["delivery", "pickup"],
    "status": "ACTIVE"
  }'
```

## Response

Returns `201` with the created store in `data`. Duplicate `id` for the same merchant, brand, and env returns `422`.
