# Update kiosk overrides

> Replace per-device payment overrides on a linked tablet.

Replaces `settings_overrides` on the linked device. Today that object is `disabled_payment_ids`: payment method ids this tablet must hide at checkout.

> Authenticates with `device_uid` and `device_secret` in the JSON body. The
> secret must already be bound from [Link kiosk
> device](https://firespark.cloud/docs/storefront-api/kiosk/devices/link/post.md). The dashboard can also set
> the same overrides from **Devices**.

Send the full overrides object. The API does not merge with the previous list.

## Request body

| `device_secret` | Yes | string | Bound tablet secret. |
| `settings_overrides` | Yes | object | Full overrides payload. |
| `settings_overrides.disabled_payment_ids` | Yes | string\[] | Payment method ids to hide. |

| `overrides.disabled_payment_ids` | Saved list. |

## Errors

| Status | When |
| - | - |
| `404` | Device is missing or not `LINKED`/`ENROLLED`. `code: "DEVICE_NOT_LINKED"`. |
| `401` | Secret is not bound yet, or it does not match. |
| `400` | Body failed validation. |
