# Discard payment intent

> Drop the draft payment intent and its tenders before the order is placed.

Deletes the `DRAFT` payment intent on an `OPEN` order. Completed and abandoned intents stay on `payment_intents`.

In `@fire-spark/storefront`, call `order.clearTenders()`.

## Request

## Response

Returns `200` with the order. `payment_intents` no longer includes a `DRAFT` intent.

## Error responses

| Status | Description |
| - | - |
| `404` | Order not found |
| `409` | The intent is locked or the order is not `OPEN` (`details.code: PAYMENT_INTENT_LOCKED`) |
